Scan with Windows Fax and Scan
To scan with Windows Fax and Scan, follow these steps or watch the Scan with Windows Fax and Scan video.

- Open Windows Fax and Scan.
- Click the Start (
) button, click All Programs , and then click Windows Fax and Scan .
- Click New Scan on the menu bar, or click File menu, click New and then click Scan .
- In the New Scan window, click Scan .
Scan with Paint

- Click the Start (
- In the Paint window, click the drop-down arrow next to the menu icon (
), and then click From scanner or camera .
- In the Select Device window, make sure your product is selected and then click OK .
- In the Scan window, click Scan .
Fax in Windows 7
Although you cannot fax a document directly from your computer, you can still fax a printed document from the product. To do this, follow these steps:
- Print the document you want to fax.
- Place the printout on the flat surface or feeder slot in the same way you would for scanning or copying a document.
- Use the fax buttons on the product control panel to send the fax.
